Too busy!

Man, July is totally flying by!

We have been super busy at work with the end of summer reading quickly approaching! Everyone keeps coming in to pick up their prizes! It's insane at times! The strangest part is, we are running out of baby prizes! We've got over 500 babies participating this year! It's nuts! I will be soooooooo happy when August 1 gets here and we are "officially" done. Apparently in the past they have still let kids pick up prizes for the following couple of weeks.

I also got to do some outreach this week at one of our local summer camps. The camps are 1 week long throughout the entire summer so every week we have new kids to hang out with. It has been a positive experience, and I hope that our goal of making librarians seem less scary and more approachable is working! The kids seemed very excited to talk to me and hang out together for the short time I was there. It's nice to know that sometimes just your time is enough to make a kid's day.

I am exhausted though. It has really been a busy week.

Now for our song challenge: Day 28 – A song that makes you feel guilty. I can't say the song I've chosen makes me feel all that guilty about anything in particular. It's just one of those songs that you might listen to if you have made an ass out of yourself. I always feel like an ass when I talk to people on the phone at work...I feel like my voice gets all Minnie-Mouse-high-pitched and fast...oh well. So because I don't have a better choice, I'm going to choose John Mayer's My Stupid Mouth. John's a jerk, but he has made some great tunes.
