Busy Busy Busy...

Man, this has been a busy weekend! I went home for the weekend to meet my new niece Mikayla! She is absolutely precious! Makes me want one...

On Thursday, the darling little girl was born, and I got to see her and hold her! She is soooooooo tiny compared to Owen as a baby! She was 6 lbs 14 oz! Owen was over 9 lbs...lol!

She was born on my Grandpa's bday and she got my Grammy's middle name. My mom is totally stoked by these two things! I'm just stoked to be buying dresses and ruffles and everything pink! Mikayla's nursery is pink striped like a Victoria's Secret shopping bag! I LOVE it!

While home, I also got to spend a decent amount of time with Owen. I love that kid, but man can he drive me crazy :P I think he's going to enjoy being a big brother once Mikayla starts doing things. I'm pretty sure he finds her boring at this point...lol!

Melissa and I watched Harry Potter parts 1 & 2 as well and I have to say I think overall these were the best films in the series. They weren't spot on with the books, but as films they were relatively cohesive and totally dark and scary. Pure evil freaks me out. Voldemort and the Death Eaters are just pure evil...no real redeeming qualities. There was no way to save Voldemort's soul. That's a freaky thought...especially in light of all the evil things we have in our world. Pure evil is out there...it scares me :(

On a happier note, Melissa and I had quality hang out time in general. Nothing like Steak & Shake around 11 PM...yay for yummy shakes!

I also got to check out my cousin Ashley's new house. We had some good conversation as well, so all good :)

Song challenge...so we're down to the last few days here. I have to say this has been super fun and at moments truly challenging for me. There are 30 days total and today Day 27 – A song that you wish you could play. This one was easy. I wish I was awesome enough to play Lenny Kravitz's Are You Gonna Go My Way! Such an AWESOME riff! Plus Lenny is totally hott when he plays this one!
