Another day

So, yesterday I got pretty excited because by a fluke I found out that a local radio station was going to be playing the Cincinnati Goo Goo Dolls concert! I wanted to go, but I didn't know if I'd have to work that evening and I knew I shouldn't really spend my money on it since I saw them last year...but it was GREAT!!!! An hour before the concert, the radio guys interviewed the Goo Goo Dolls and as always, I found the guys highly amusing! As for the concert it was over 90 minutes of awesomeness!

The Goo Goo Dolls are one of my favorite bands because I think John Rzeznik is one of the best lyricists in the world. His music speaks to me. He's admitted that his stuff tends to be autobiographical...and all I really want to know is who did that number on him? He's got so much angst and heartache. I could make him feel better :)

Then after the concert they continued to play Goo songs along with Michelle Branch songs (since she opened for them). Falling asleep while listening to the Goo...heaven for me! I slept like a baby!

But then I had to wake up and go to work. While I love my job, I hate that our network has been crap lately! It has been running soooooo slow! It took me 45 minutes to approve time cards last week. I feel like we have dial up! Not that our work computers were ever really "fast"...but when it takes over 5 minutes to load a page...we've become way too impatient of a society for that! Plus it makes it super hard to give really good customer service!

Tonight I watched the movie "Hall Pass". While there were some funny parts, it was just okay. I don't like the basic premise. Marriage is the ultimate commitment...spouses shouldn't need "hall passes" to get permission from their other to cheat. NO cheating in marriages!!! Plus the jokes were just sub-par. Take it or leave it.

Today's song challenge: Day 22 – A song that you listen to when you’re sad. There are songs out there that make me super sad. My go-to sad guy these days is Gary Allan. He has a handful of good ones that make you feel like you've been stabbed in the gut by your best friend... I love it! His best song is Songs About Rain. It hurts. It's sad. It's lonely. I love songs that make you feel the singer's pain!
