So today I worked again...not that that's a surprise! It was a super busy day at work, so it went by quickly which is nice!
After work, I went to a baby shower for my co-worker. It was a nice potluck kind of gig, and it was a nice time. The ladies I work with are amazing, and they are always fun to be around. Today I realized that I was the only one there who didn't have kids or a house or a husband...and that made me sad... I know that the women I work with are older than me, but they all have families and stories about their kids and being pregnant and such...I hated not being able to relate. I guess my clock has started a-tickin... It was bound to happen sooner or later.
Overall though, it was a great time!! I really love my co-workers and in some ways feel that they are my KY family. They're the best!!!!!!
Moving on, today's song challenge...Day 04 – A song that makes you sad. There are a handful of songs out there that make me sad. It took me a little while to pick one... I decided to go with Brick by Bens Fold Five. This is a hauntingly beautiful song, but it's heartbreaking. There is no way that you can listen to this song and feel happy. It makes me sad, because it's just such a tough situation that the song revolves around...(abortion, if you didn't know what it was about). I love this song, but it definitely is a debbie downer kind of tune... "she's a brick and I'm drowning slowly..."
