I associate songs with people all the time. Many times, it's because of a memory attached to the song, or because the lyrics remind me of someone. I have many songs that remind me of my family members, James, Odile, and many other friends...but today's song choice/memory is a little more obscure...
Today, I'm going to choose I Want You Back by the Jackson 5. This song reminds me of my Bobilin! Erik and I used to sing this song in public together all the time! Erik would sing the MJ part and hit all the high notes, while I'd sing the background harmonies for him. I think we annoyed many other people at parties and in some cases at the bars, but we had a blast!
Even now, when I hear this song, I sing the background and think of my Bobilin! Oh the good ole Brooklyn days...lol!
