You were a fool...

When it comes to matters of the heart, I am probably one of the biggest fools there is. I constantly put myself out there just to get rejected time and time again. Perhaps this is because I tend to like the ones who aren't good for me...

I know they say it's better to have loved and lost, but what if no one's loving you? Perhaps I give too freely of myself, but life is short. I'd rather take a chance than miss out on an opportunity...

For many years I thought it was me. Perhaps I wasn't pretty enough. Maybe I didn't have a good enough personality. The timing was probably wrong. I know a lot of other women go through this. We figure that there must be something wrong with us if the men we're interested in don't reciprocate...

The truth is, we as humans have the desire to find companionship. This is where matters of the heart get tricky. All too often I find myself being attracted to men that I immediately spark with--recently I realized that's my problem. The only reason I "spark" with them is because they're not real. They put on a show in order to grab your attention. These are the ones that are bad for me, because they don't want me...only the attention I can give them. WATCH OUT for the ones you spark with...the spark will undeniably go out!

Instead look for someone who you're attracted to who will rub off on you in time. There will not be an instant spark, but the more you rub off on each other, the more likely it is that you'll create a spark that ignites a fire! I have 2 friends (a married couple) who started out this way, and they are one of the happiest, best suited, amazing couples I know!

To all the men who have done me wrong, you were fools...you gave up on a really good thing. I would've done anything for you to make you happy!
