Growing up we had the most adorable bichon dog. His name was Xavier and he was the runt of his litter, but he was super duper adorable.
When he was a young puppy, he was so full of energy! He would run around our backyard and play soccer. In the winter he would blend in with the snow. You'd have to look for his little nose/eyes in the snow to find him! I also had a hard time not laughing at the little guy, when he came in from the snow and had little snowballs attached to his fur...
The worst thing about having a white dog is that you have to keep him clean in order to keep him white! My mother would bathe him and then the fun began... Drying/fluffing the puppy was insane--a three person job! Usually my mom would brush him, Melissa would blow his fur dry with the blow dryer, and I'd hold him and try to keep him from squirming too much. He'd scratch the hell out of my arms too sometimes! He hated it, but he always looked so cute when he was fluffy like a cotton ball!!!
When I went away to college, Xavier wasn't very happy. When I came home on weekends, I would pick him up and he'd growl at me like he wasn't very happy. He figured out that this would make me curl him up in my arms like a baby and pay him extra attention... I swear he'd do it every time just so I'd pick him up and hold him close to me and pet him for a good while...
Unfortunately Xavier died roughly two years ago after living a full life...
