YAY!!!!!!! Today my big girl bedroom set arrived! I now have a dresser with a mirror, a chest, a nightstand, and a QUEEN-sized bed! It's a beatiful cherry colored wood! Plus the bed is a sleighbed! It's pretty awesome :)
The DSL guy also came out today...so as of today, I officially have paid internet service! So, indeed I am now a grown up!
In other news, I went to Meijer today...and let me tell you...I LOVE Meijer! They had all sorts of things that I eat/drink on sale! It's sooooooo nice paying $2 for a gallon of milk! I always had to pay at least $3 in NY! Little savings make me happy...I can be a shmuck like that sometimes!
Also, my kitchen is almost put together...Having a dishwasher has been a BIG help! Rather than having to wash all of my glasses and dishes that were wrapped in newsprint by hand... It's funny how you appreciate modern conveniences more after living in NY! I'm still trying to get used to the fact that I now have a bedroom AND a living room! It's sooooooooo exciting and cool! I also have way too much room in my kitchen...half of the cupboards are completely empty! Again...this is something I'm having a hard time comprehending...in NY I barely had room for my things...NOW, I have more room than I know what to do with...
I kind of wish it would rain here though...we are in a drought and everything is just sooooooooooo dry! According to the weather lady, we're down by 6 inches or so... Yet, I love the warm weather, having the windows open, and the cool breeze at night!
