Time really does fly faster as you get older. I can hardly believe it is already October! That means there are only a few months left to this year... YIKES!
So, as you know, I'm getting acclimated to my new job. So far, things are good. I've got two weeks under my belt, and this third week will be the last of my initial training...then it'll be on to the managing/supervising side of things, which should be great experience for me! I am happy with my decision to relocate here!
This past weekend I drove up to Michigan for my friend Cassandra's bridal shower! On Saturday, I went to see Owen's hockey game. Then he came over and gave me an awesome present--a Nerf gun for me to play with in my new apartment! He seriously is such a thoughtful kid! I love him to pieces and hope he will always think I am as cool as he does now! Then we went open skating and because he showed me his moves and worked up a sweat, I bought us slushies! Then we played at my parent's house until his dad picked him up!
On Sunday, I went to church, then Cass's bridal shower! She looks so incredibly happy and excited about it all :) Plus, Justin is a perfect fit for her! I truly believe they will be an awesome married couple! Afterwards, Melissa and I had thai food before I drove back to Kentucky.
All in all, it was a good weekend! I like that the drive isn't very long and that in a pinch I can go see my family pretty much whenever I want!
