Nephews and Moving!

So, this past weekend I was home in Michigan for Owen's 6th birthday and Jack's baptism! Talk about some super fun times!

For Owen's birthday on Saturday, he had a Star Wars themed party (of course). The kids ran around with light sabers, completed their jedi training, and played numerous games. Kevin got dressed up like Darth Maul with an amazing makeup job done by Angela's friend Teri! I can hardly believe my Owen is 6 and in first grade, but time does fly!

On Sunday was Jack's baptism. Jack looked absolutely adorable in his christening outfit and the ceremony went really well! Jack only started getting fussy afterwards when everybody was taking pictures! During the ceremony, Owen sat next to me, and as his godmother, I felt pretty special! Maybe that's part of the special bond I have with Owen... I love being his godmother, and although it's super dorky, I love when he learns and recites his prayers for me when I'm home... Anyways, after the ceremony, I got to see the end of Owen's soccer game where he scored a goal, before heading over to Jack's party.

On Monday, Melissa, my dad, and I took the fully loaded truck down to Kentucky to get my new apartment. So now, most of my big furniture is in my new apartment and I just have tidbits left to pack here in Brooklyn... I have to say my family did well picking me out a nice apartment in a nice community! There are a bunch of rules to keep the community clean and quiet, so that should be a nice change too!

On Tuesday, I got a haircut and caught up with my hair lady...she is always so much fun to talk to and she does a great job on my hair too which is why I keep going back :) The rest of the day was kind of a blur for me...I know my dad and I did some furniture shopping, but I can't remember much else!

On Wednesday, my dad and I did some more furniture shopping before stopping in to see Jack. He is just such a precious baby! He's super tiny in comparison to Owen too...Owen was a big baby...Jack is just tiny! Julie was super nice about letting me hold Jack and talk to him and bond with him...he, like Owen, will have a special place in my heart always! I love babies and I love my nephews. It's really that simple!
