A New Year

It's hard to believe how quickly a year goes by.  For the most part, 2013 was like most years.  There were many highs and many lows.  You can't have the good without the bad, but I'd like to focus on the good for a minute here.

Good:

  • Got to attend many concerts this past year including seeing Elton John, Goo Goo Dolls, Matchbox 20 (twice), Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Kelly Clarkson, Maroon 5 (although disappointing), Sheryl Crow, Gary Allan, Rod Stewart, Bruno Mars, Cyndi Lauper, and Little Big Town.
  • Got to travel to Cleveland, NYC, Maryland, Florida, Nashville, Indiana, and Louisville.
  • Got to become a member of the Henry Ford and spend many days at Greenfield Village and the Museum
  • Got to meet Scott Hamilton and Dorothy Hamill
  • Got to meet Zachary Levi and see 2 Broadway shows
  • Got to spend time with all of my family; more so than I could have in years past
  • Got to work at a library that I love, with people that I love, and with kids that I care about and can see I'm making a difference in their lives
  • Got to attend the Skate America exhibitions
  • Started working out and got in the best shape of my life; of course this is a work in progress and the holidays were a bit of a setback, but I'm gonna be back on track in no time
I'm hoping 2014 will have good things in store as well.  I know I'll be busy.
