The weekend update

Lately things have been pretty good.

Today, we celebrated Mik's 2nd birthday.  She's such a ham.  She loved all the attention she got, and she didn't want us to leave.

Then later today I went with my parents to see my great-uncle Jim and great-aunt Patsy.  Uncle Jim turned 75 today.  We we got there they were sitting on the porch swing holding hands.  My dad joked with him, "what are you holding her hand for?" and Jim replied "because she's my sweetheart."  It was so cute.  They've been married 52 years and they still love each other.  It's so nice to see.  The way they look at each other, tease each other, and interact with one another...you'd think they were still kids.  Talk about true soul mates!

Uncle Jim is also just really fun to listen to.  Soooooo many stories and opinions about the world we live in.  Today he was talking about how they say "beauty is only skin deep, but ugly is to the bone."  Then of course we talked about all sorts of church things.  He said he's always hated the parable about the woman who committed adultery.  The crowd is getting ready to stone her, and Jesus says he without sin, cast the first stone.  So the people all go away without stoning the lady.  Uncle Jim says, "that's bullshit.  Jesus should've said where is the man?  It takes 2 people to commit the sin of adultery."  And I have to say I agree.

Today I also took my pre-workout plan photos and measurements.  I start the Focus T-25 program on Monday for the next 10 weeks.  I'm hoping to tone, but we'll see.  If I make significant progress, I will post before and after photos.  Otherwise, I'm a bit too self conscious to put that out there for the world to see.

    What's the workout? I'm giving James Wilson another go but I'm always interested in new workouts.
