Melissa and I saw "Fast & Furious 6". It was flippin' awesome! Who doesn't love fast cars and crazy action scenes that are totally impossible and ridiculous? Plus Vin and the Rock--need I say more? It's totally worth seeing, although I really need to go back and watch them all again...so many pieces to the puzzle!
Then I had another birthday. Officially I am entering the last year of my 20s. It's kinda crazy, but I like it! On my actual birthday I worked, but then my mom/dad made me a steak for dinner = delicious! Then there was a little kerfluffle in plans, but Melissa and I went down to Toledo on Friday. We spent a couple of hours at the Hollywood Casino and then got Chick-Fil-A for lunch which was AMAZING! I haven't had it in a good while, but it was spot on! Then we went and saw "Monsters University".
"Monsters University" was great! If you liked the first one, you'll like this one. It's sooooooo cute! Mike and Sulley are awesome monsters! It's fun to see their journey from "enemies" to "best friends". Just goes to show that we all have strengths and weaknesses, but sometimes we are able to overcome with teamwork.
That night, we watched "Warm Bodies". It's not your typical zombie movie, but it was alright. Not sure that I'd want to watch it again, but it is an interesting concept. Zombies curing themselves? A bit far-fetched but it was entertainment.
Late Saturday afternoon, Melissa, Phil, and I got Sonic for a birthday meal. The tots are awesome there! Mmmmm tots! I think we probably all ate too much, but then we went to Baskin Robbins for dessert anyways. Ice cream is always a good idea!
On Sunday, I went to Greenfield Village and met up with my girl Cassandra. We decided to do the tea at Cotswald Cottage and it's definitely worth doing. They also had a historical baseball game going on, which was super fun to watch! It was all good in the shade, but man was it a scorcher out there!
Overall, I can say I had a great birthday weekend!
