Man, that time went quickly. Today was my official last day of work at my current library. It made for sad times...lots of hugs...lots of well wishes. It's hard leaving, but I know it's going to be for the best in the long run.
Today the ladies surprised me with my candy jar. They took the jar they originally gave me when I became their supervisor, wrote all sorts of cute messages on the outside of it, filled it with candy, and tied a "good luck" balloon on it. It was super cute!
Then one of my staff made a special display. She put out all sorts of "goodbye/come back soon" books on a display. It was incredibly sweet and I was really touched by her thoughtfulness!
Then I received a handful of cards and a few keepsakes...they're the best!
So now, it's all about getting the rest of my junk into boxes for moving. My moving crew is coming down tomorrow and we'll be packing up the apartment on Sunday... I hope they don't hate my nostalgic mood...
