Fifty shades...

So I read "Fifty Shades of Grey" because as a librarian, I think it's important to read what the people are reading.  I had to skip a lot of paragraphs because the detail was just a bit too much for my liking.  What amazes me about this book is that so many people are reading it.  By no means is it great literature, and it's pretty graphic.  I would run like hell away from Christian Grey.  He's a freak.  And yet I'll probably read the next book in the series because the way the first one ended made me think...where they hell will this series go next.  I'm in no rush though.  I was like 55 on the holds list and that suits me just fine.  People must just be way kinkier than I thought...weird weird weird.  Plus the next one is titled "Fifty Shades Darker" followed by "Fifty Shades Freed" which really intrigues me just enough to get me to read it.  A co-worker suggested I try the audio book and I said no way because it's much harder to skip paragraphs on a CD than in a book.  Lord help us.
