This past weekend, Ang and Kev brought the kids down. On Friday night, we went to the Tigers game. It was a terrific game, even though the Tigers lost 6-5 in the 10th inning. We had parked on the KY side and walked over, so on the way back we were able to watch the fireworks from the bridge.
On Saturday, we went to the Zoo. Mikayla is a little stinker and she ended up getting me to hold her for most of the visit. I love that she's really warmed up to me! Owen's still my biggest fan as well...so I definitely had a lot of love from them this weekend. After the Zoo, we had Chick-Fil-A. Afterwards we went to the park for a short bit before heading back up to the outlet mall. Ang was able to find some good finds for her and the kids, so I think she was happy. She also bought me a cute pair of Adidas shoes for a birthday gift! They're red and totally me!
On the way back from the outlet mall, I was pulled over for the first time in my life. I was driving Ang and Kev's car...so I'm pretty convinced I was pulled over for Michigan plates. I had no idea why he was pulling me over in the first place. I wondered if someone wasn't wearing their seat belt or if we had a burned out tail light or something since I wasn't really speeding. The officer told me that I was riding in the left lane for too long. I told him I was just trying to pass. He ran my license and then told me he'd let me off with a warning and to make sure that I get over to the right sooner in the future. I didn't argue with him, because I'm glad he didn't give me a ticket or anything. I wasn't really upset or anything...I just didn't really enjoy getting pulled over. After that we went and got ice cream. Ice cream always makes things better.
Then we came in and watched the hockey game. The Kings lost again which makes me kinda mad. I want them to win the Stanley Cup and they were doing so good! Let's hope they win the next game at home.
Then this morning I went to church and then brought home breakfast for the crew. We ate together and then they drove home since Ang and Kev both had games tonight and they work tomorrow. Owen was pretty upset to be leaving. Poor thing cried his little eyes out. It breaks my heart, but at the same time, it's nice to know that someone loves me that much!
Then this afternoon I went and saw "Snow White and the Huntsman". I really liked it. Kristen Stewart is still a terrible actress, but she didn't annoy me too much in this one...probably since she doesn't talk much. The only time I hated her was at the end. Her pose at the end is one of a mouth breather and it's annoying. I'm pretty sure the script said to have a meaningful look on her face, but for her that just registers as blankness. On the other hand, Charlize Theron was awesome. She played the evil queen very well. And I'll take Chris Hemsworth as my Huntsman any day of the week...that man is just beautiful!
