Do you hear what I hear?

Okay, so the teen librarian at my branch and I have discussed this commercial before:

Honda Civic Ninja

We both thought the lyrics were "I'm a ninja, I'm a horny ninja". She was having a conversation with our teens and they started laughing at her hysterically when she told them this.

Why? Apparently the lyrics are "I'm a ninja, I'm a hoodie ninja".

Now, I've listened to this lyric many a time now...I can hear it both ways. I can't help but wonder if this is one of those times where the artist wants to pull the wool over our eyes... Kind of like when the Beatles said "tit" in the song "Girl". Then there's the whole the Beatles say the lyrics are "I can't hide" in the song "I want to hold your hand", but it sounds like "I get high" to many people.

The song is "Hoodie Ninja", but if you read the other lyrics, it's no wonder both my co-worker and I heard "horny".
