Oh and I forgot to mention the two movies I saw most recently.
The first was Shrek Forever After. It was one of those, I want to see a movie and it's the only thing new out type of things. It was cute. It was better than I thought it'd be and it's one of those "you don't realize what you have until it's gone" types of movies. Very It's a Wonderful Life except with ogres and talkin donkeys and fat cats and ... you get my point ;)
The second was Sex and the City 2. While, I always loved the show, I thought the first movie was pretty bad and the second movie was even worse. And yet, I wanted to be a part of it opening weekend anyways. I like watching all the women gather together in their high heels and mini-skirts and acting like they're the characters from the show. There were some good laughs throughout, but overall the storyline just fell flat. Carrie is a pretentious, spoiled, stuck up b---- throughout the whole thing. The premise is that she's unhappy with her marriage because Mr. Big doesn't want to go out on the town all the time. GROW UP! Carrie Bradshaw has every material thing she could possibly ever need and she still wants more. It's sad and I hate the way her storyline went. BOO movies for ruining a good thing. The show was cleverly written and it empowered women. The movies, unfortunately, do just the opposite--making all women look materialistic and conceited. Plus the fact that they moved the girls to Abu Dhabi killed the NYC aspect of it all... Oh well, when you get greedy for money this is what happens.
