Cruel Spring

So springtime is here and this year, my allergies have come with a vengence! Never have I been so congested with itchy eyes/throat!! I started thinking maybe I had a cold, but NO!! This isn't a cold at all because I don't really have typical cold-like symptoms...definitely more like an allergy...especially because the symptoms get much worse when I've been outside all day! All I can say is hopefully, soon the weather will figure out what it's doing and my allergies will be more cooperative!

Then yesterday when I came home from work, there was a dead waterbug in the hallway. Waterbugs are essentially the same as Palmetto bugs...which means BIG roaches! So, I didn't pay it any mind since it was in the hallway... UNFORTUNATELY about an hour later, I was watching a movie I saw something run across the floor. The lighting wasn't great, but I knew it was something big...either a bug or a small mouse. It was a waterbug! Soooooooooooooooooooooooooo gross! I grabbed the Raid and got it, but still freaked out a bit. Thank God it wasn't a mouse, but still...anytime you see something the length of your pinky finger in your house it is super scary! I ended up scouring the apartment for more and sprayed Raid for peace of mind. I don't like killing bugs at all, so I hope they just stay out...

Other than those two things, I have to say my life is pretty good :) Work is busy and there are a lot of new people coming in, but our circ stats are staying above 40,000 a month so we're doing well! In general, outside of my allergies, my health is good. I had the second toe surgery done and it is healing really well overall, so that's good too! Not sure if I mentioned it yet or not, but recently I took a trip to Six Flags...beautiful day and short lines so that was good! So see overall, things are good :)

Tomorrow is Mother's day, so to all the mother's out there, I hope you have a great day and hopefully your kids will show you the love and respect you deserve each and every day (but usually don't get bc kids are kids).

Oh and I'm getting pretty excited to go home for Julie's baby shower in June! I can hardly believe that I'm going to be an aunt again in roughly 2 months! Time goes by so quickly!
