Easter Weekend!

So I went home to Michigan for Easter this past weekend...

On Thursday I flew home in the morning. I arrived at Michigan, ate lunch, and got my hair cut. It is a little bit shorter than I'd planned on, but overall it should be kinda cute within a week or two :) Afterwards Owen and I played outside for a long time! The weather was great and it's not very often that you can play outside without a jacket on April 1, in Michigan...so needless to say we took advantage of it! Melissa and I went shopping and bought our mom her Easter flowers as well.

On Friday, it was Good Friday, so the fasting began. Melissa took me to the gym and it was a bit rough...Melissa is great, I am just a wimp. I have no body strength and I'm lazy--sorry Melissa :( Then we headed over to Angela's and James came up from Tennesse in time for the Marshmallow Drop! So, Ang, Melissa, Owen, James, and I went to the Marshmallow Drop! Because there were so many people there, Angela didn't want to wait in the line for the prize, and instead bribed Owen with money...He was happier getting $2 anyways!

After the Marshmallow Drop, we played outside with Owen for awhile, ate lunch, and then went to my parents' house for a bit. James and I ended up taking Owen to the park for awhile, before heading back to Angela's for sibling fun night. All of us kids, gathered at Angela's house for dinner. Afterwards we played soccer outside. To protect Julie and the baby in her belly, we made her stay on the trampoline protected by the netting. Then we played the most violent game of soccer...let's just say if you were playing, you had to be okay with getting hurt...luckily we didn't draw any blood though--only bumps, bruises, scratches, and getting the wind knocked out of you...

Saturday was a friend hangout day! James got to meet Missy, Mindy, and Natasha. These are my three best friends from high school and they mean the world to me! I was just glad that we were all in town at the same time :) I love catching up with my girls!

Sunday was Easter! We went to 8am Mass and then helped set up the lunch! James got to meet what's left of my family, and eat a fantastic meal put together by my awesome mommy :) Being Nick's birthday, Angela made a yummy German chocolate cake for him! We played another violent soccer game, and Carrie came over to spy on me ;) Then I cried my eyes out as I packed my crap up...I really didn't want to go back to work since there's so much bs going on there...

Now it's back to the same ol' stuff...
