It seems like life just goes too quickly at times! Lately I've been kind of busy and getting out a bit more, which is good for me.
A few highlights:
*Went to Dave & Busters. Good times! Sometimes you just need to blow off a little bit of steam and act like a kid. I won a deck of cards :)
*Attended a symposium on youth services in libraries. It was informative and got me thinking, so that too was good.
*I worked a Sunday at Central library. The best thing about working at a branch that big is that you appreciate your home base...Sure I can't find a few things at my branch, but I find things a lot easier at my branch than I do at Central...I teased a part-timer about shelf reading, and they actually didn't know what I was talking about...
*I went shopping and found my Easter dress! I have always worn a dress to church on Easter Sunday and since I haven't bought a new one in awhile, I figured it was time! It is simple, but nice--white with blue and green flowers with a black ribbon.
*Got to do some wonderful community outreach for open school night at the local schools near work...
*Went and saw "Alice in Wonderland" in IMAX 3D. Totally a cool experience. The movie was quirky and fun, although I don't think the queens (white and red) were properly cast...they both kind of annoyed me more than anything else.
So now you are up-to-date. I am just finishing my day up at work here...it's relatively quiet lately and I have to say I like it :) It's nice to have a breather every once in awhile...it's got to be the weather! BRING ON THE SUNSHINE!
I'm also getting really excited for Easter! I love being home with my family for holidays! Easter is always one of my favorite times of year because it is totally symbolic of the start of spring! I love the idea of new beginnings, and caterpillars turning into butterflies :) Springtime is going to be my time! WATCH OUT world! ;)
Are you coming home for Easter? Maybe I'll see you at Mass. I saw Angela and O last Sunday
