Since my last post, I've had quite a few things happen.
Highlights include:
*I earned my first gold medal in a sectional figure skating competition with my synchronized skating team. We competed in Edina, MN and it was my first time to that state. Funny enough, it was warmer there in February than it was in Michigan. I also got to visit the Mall of America while there, which was just a mall to me, but still fun.
*Fast forward to April, and I took a trip to DC. I wanted to visit my friend Missy because I haven't seen her in way too long and I also wanted to visit some national landmarks. On the top of my list was a trip to the Library of Congress. That is one of the most incredible buildings I have ever been to in my life! It was incredibly delightful to visit our national treasures and I felt extremely proud to be an American.
*May came out of nowhere and Melissa and I were off to Vegas. We played in a slot tournament, walked the strip, gambled a little, and ate 2 buffets. It was a fun few days away and I'm grateful for the time we got to spend together. It was the first time I drove around Vegas, and luckily it went smoothly once I figured out how the little car worked. Also, swimming in the pool was one of the most relaxing things I've done in quite some time.
So what else have I been doing? Mainly working. I injured my pectoralis muscles and haven't been allowed to work out. Hopefully, in another 2-4 weeks, the muscles will feel better all together. It's been a slow recovery and not being able to do anything but walk has been extremely boring. I'm hoping to be able to work out again come mid-July.
Also, I've spent a lot of time with my Netflix. For the most part, my favorite movie so far was "The Wedding Ringer." It was way funnier than I expected. Also, my mom and I started watching "The Newsroom" and I have to say it's a fantastic show!

Welcome back!
ReplyDeleteSince you can't do much we should do movie night!
