Tis the Season

I have to say that I had a pretty good weekend.  On Friday night, Melissa and I watched Double Wedding which was a cheesy made-for-tv movie, but I still kind of enjoyed it.

On Saturday, it snowed and snowed and snowed.  Melissa and I shoveled twice and we couldn't keep up.  It was a good workout for sure.  Because we were essentially snowed in, we watched Turbo and the BBC Pride & Prejudice.  It made for the perfect day!  I can curl up and watch Mr. Darcy for hours and it seems as if no time has passed at all.

On Sunday, I woke up and shoveled again.  Then I took Melissa to church.  The snow continued to fall, but eventually it stopped and we shoveled a final time.  I ended up making 3 types of cookies--chocolate covered oreos, molasses, and cranberry nut cookies.  All 3 came out decently well, but I'm not sure that I'd make the cranberry nut ones again since they were kind of bland.

Sunday night, I took my mom to Holiday Nights at Greenfield Village.  It was pretty cold out, but I think she enjoyed it anyways.  I know I did.  But boy was it chilly!
