Lies

So a friend posted this article today: 5 lies every twentysomething needs to stop believing and it's an interesting read.

The basic lies are:
1. I'm the only one struggling
2. I should be successful by now
3. Life is not turning out like it was supposed to
4. I don't have what it takes
5. I'm a failure

I post this because a few years ago, this is what I was feeling.  Now I know Melissa and Carrie are feeling these...  You guys are doing just fine.  After all, as the article says "Countless famed figures we idolize—such as Abraham Lincolnfailed drastically in their twenties. Even Jesus, who never failed at anything, didn't begin his active, recorded ministry until he was in his thirties."

For most of my 20s, I told myself these lies too.  Truth is, now that my 20s are pretty much coming to a close, I feel more confident and successful than ever.  I think perspectives just change.  So relax, enjoy, and instead ask yourself these questions.

  1. Thanks Kat. I shall try to be more open minded.
As far as the questions go:
What are my favorite stories? Gone with the Wind, Battlestar Galactica and Woman of the Year (two out of three are depressing as hell lol)

  2. My favorite movies/stories are Pride & Prejudice, Jane Eyre, and Ever After. Apparently I'm just a big cornball on the inside. :)
