Fun at Work

Today I got to break out of the norm and attend a local elementary school's career day.  I got to tell them about being a librarian and I even did my paper hat story (which I will forever be indebted to Judy Freeman for since it's always a major hit).  What was super great is that a lot of the kids recognized me and it was fun!

My co-workers and I are also working on a swear jar.  The hope is that we'll cut back on the cursing.  We're doing better, but the jar is totally clankin' with change.  We'll probably have enough to buy lunch in the future.

I'm also starting to plan for my March/April programs.  With Teen Tech Week on the horizon, I think a lot of Wii gaming will be in my future... :)

  2. They said the same thing at work about a swear jar, but we're doing our best. So far, we've got a good $3, but maybe you could think of it as a savings fund for the two of you ;)
