Surprise Visit

So the other day I was at work and I got a random phone call from a Michigan number.  When I answered it, I was surprised to hear Sr. Nancy's voice on the other end.  She has family in KY and wondered if she could spend the night while passing through.  Of course I said yes.

That evening I spent cleaning up my apartment in order to make it a bit more presentable for a nun.  My apartment isn't fancy, but I wanted it to be cleaner.  So I picked up some clothes and vacuumed and dusted.  It looked decent.

The next day Sr. Nancy showed up.  We had some good conversation.  We went out to dinner, but then she had to work all night.  She had to make a conference call, and then she made a few phone calls before she came out to the living room and watched TV with me until 11:30PM (all the while she was answering work emails).  We watched DWTS results, the Voice finale, the News, and David Letterman's opening.  Then we went to bed.

I put Sr. up in my room because I didn't want her to be uncomfortable while I crashed on the couch.  I'm pretty sure she had a decent night's sleep too!  Then in the morning I took her out to IHOP so she could get a good breakfast before driving back to PA.  She's seriously the sweetest woman and she joked that this was the best motel she's ever stayed in!  All in all, it was a surprise visit, but it was all good!
