Then this past weekend James decided to pay me a visit! He drove up after work on Thursday and got here nice and early on Friday morning...when I went to work he slept! Friday night we went to the casino because I was having an itch to play my favorite Big City Kitty game! However, I was sadly disappointed to find out that they got ALL new machines and got rid of my favorites (ie the machines I win on). James was a bit disappointed too because I told him how awesome Miss Kitty was and he didn't get to see how it worked at all! lol!
Afterwards we came back and watched a documentary on the Buena Vista Social Club (which was super well done), a documentary on Disney World, and a handful of episodes of Say Yes to the Dress (because that show just cracks me up)!
James bought me super pretty pink roses too...I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! They are so pretty:
On Saturday we went to Newport on the Levee. There isn't a ton of stuff to do around here, but Newport is always a safe bet for some sort of entertainment!
So we went to the Newport Aquarium because I am a member and I totally love it! Every time I go there is something new to discover! We also got super dorky matching tee-shirts because they were on clearance...
After the aquarium we went bowling...and it was hilarious! Neither of us really bowled well at all, but it was super fun! A crazy bowling ball came out of our ball return all cracked and damaged...not sure how it got there, because it came back to us half way through our game! See the crazy damage:
After bowling we went to Bar Louie and had some yummy drinks and food before going to see Gnomeo and Juliet--which was cute and entertaining!
Needless to say Saturday was busy! We came back to my place and played this obnoxious Valentine edition of Love, Truth, or Dare. We then followed it with a deck of conversations starters. All in all it was just sort of fun to see how the other would answer!
On Sunday James and I went to the Florence Mall...so he could have a good time in Florence Y'all! I found a bunch of clothes for work that were on sale...so it was a good time! Then we had Chipotle because he's never had that before! Super yummy (as always). We also went to the party store to see if we could find things that weren't choking hazards for children (research for something at work) and unfortunately couldn't find much! I then convinced James to stay and watch the Grammys! Cee Lo Green was the best performance of the night...sooooo ridiculous in his bird suit, but it made me so happy! Afterwards we made candy sushi, since a few weeks back I did that program at the library and James was intrigued!
All in all you could say I had a great weekend! I hope everyone else did too!
