Oh my nerves!

Well on Thursday morning when I woke up I had a strange pain in my hip...I thought maybe I slept on it funny or something and hoped I could walk it off. By the end of work on Thursday night (9pm) I could barely put any pressure on my leg, and sitting in my car trying to drive home was excruciating!

It took me awhile to climb the stairs as each one was growing more and more painful. I finally made it into my apartment and called my mom and burst into tears! I couldn't handle the pain! My mom recommended taking some Tylenol (since that's the only pain killer I had in the apt) and using a heating pad. She said if it got worse, go to the ER.

Well I made it through the night somehow, taking Tylenol every 4 hours. When I woke up for the day, I was debating whether or not to see a doctor. Luckily I chose to see a doctor. I had to use an hour of sick time at work, but by doing so I found out I am suffering from Piriformis Syndrome--or essentially inflammation of my sciatic nerve.

So now for the weekend I plan on resting and doing a whole lot of nothing...just taking ibuprofen and muscle relaxers and using a heating pad on and off to help calm my sciatic nerve and get rid of the terrible shooting pains in my leg! Hopefully all of this will work well and I'll be back to my good ole self in no time!!!

My parents are on their way here to come and take care of me too! They are super cute and I love them to pieces...

Stupid leg...stupid nerves...be normal again! PLEASE!

  2. That sucks. You can't catch a break with your health these days. It's nice that your parents are closer to you now so they can visit.
