This year for Thanksgiving, I woke up and watched the parade on TV. Although I haven't seen every single Detroit parade, I've seen a Thanksgiving parade every year of my life that I can remember...so it's kind of a tradition to see a parade either in person or on TV, Thanksgiving morning... Also since I recently went and toured the Parade Company in Detroit, it seemed a bit cooler this year. I felt like I knew more about the history and such...it was cool!
Then my cousin, Ashley had us over for Thanksgiving dinner. My cousin, Al, makes one of the best deep-fried turkeys around. It's always delicious! Plus they always have a pretty good spread! I ate way too much and felt disgusting...so I think it's safe to say, Thanksgiving was a success.
On Friday, I didn't really do much. I worked on moving things from my old bedroom to my new bedroom, but I only got about half way through the closet...I have a lot of things to donate...still going through more...
On Saturday, I had to work. It was super slow all morning and then super busy all afternoon. People were in the "just do it for me" mood, which is always extremely irritating. Michele and I tag-teamed the desk all day though, so it made for a bearable experience. She's always fun to work with. When I got home we had our fakesgiving--all of the immediate family was over to celebrate Thanksgiving since we couldn't all be together on Thursday. The kids were all in a good mood, which made for a fun time playing with them...albeit I was exhausted by the end of the night. I also picked up a case of laryngitis...so I sound stupid.
Today, I slept in until 9am. It was pretty awesome! Mom made breakfast and we all kind of hung around until church at noon. After church, I ended up sorting through some files and cleaned out my plastic storage container in my room...I still have so much to sort through... It's amazing how much stuff just accumulates...
I also watched "Chef" and "Edge of Tomorrow". They were both enjoyable, but nothing amazing. I'll admit I didn't watch the screen the entire time for either movie, but I don't feel like I really missed anything either...
