So I'm officially another year older, and another year happier. I'm starting this decade with a fresh perspective and I'm looking forward to what it holds. Plus it was nice to celebrate me with many dear family members and friends.
Then I went to Vegas. The ALA conference was all over the place and extremely unorganized, but I had a blast! I met some really cool librarians from all different fields. There was so much going on, but highlights include:
Meeting Raffi after he did a little performance:
Meeting Neal Shusterman after Penguin tried to kill him (the original chair he was on fell apart, but luckily he was okay):
Finally got to talk with Jennifer L. Holm about BabyMouse and other awesome things:
Stan Lee talked to us about all sorts of random things:
Got to see Odile for the first time in a few years:
And did I mention there was a cupcake ATM on the strip? My new favorite obsession...I need one of these local:
