I watched Thor 2. I feel lukewarm about that one. It was okay but I have no desire to watch it again anytime soon. Like the first Thor movie, it just left me wanting more. Natalie Portman is a terrible Jane Foster and the lack of a complex plot...ugh. The only redeeming things about the Thor movies are: 1. Chris Hemsworth is a beautiful man and 2. Scenes with Thor and Loki have a good character dynamic. The rest is just eh. Take it or leave it.
Then we watched About Last Night. We shared a Monticello beer while watching, so perhaps we were a little off, but I found this movie amusing. I laughed out loud a few times as well. The only thing that sucked about it was the ending. I don't want to ruin it, but major cop out. If you're looking for a movie that is strictly for entertainment purposes, this is a fun one--except for the end. I still find that frustrating.
And last, but not least, I finally saw Captain America 2. Fan-FLIPPING-tastic! I liked the plot. I liked the casting. Captain America = another beautiful man, but he seems to have more depth than Thor. It held my interest from beginning to end. Plus, who doesn't love a conspiracy theory type movie? Two thumbs up :)

You didn't like Thor2?! I LOVED it. It was hilarious and action packed.
ReplyDeleteI loved Cap2 also. Much better than the first and I'm curious to what happens in the 3rd.
I didn't know what to think of Malificent but based on your opinion I hope it's at the drive-in this weekend.
I didn't like the first Thor so gave the second one a miss. I loved loved loved both Captain America movies, though. When are you going to see the new X-Men??
