Concerts and Fun!

So Wednesday night Melissa and I went to see Jason Mraz.  Although it wasn't a dance til you drop kind of concert, it was still incredibly enjoyable.  Jason is sort of going through what I'll call his "George Harrison" phase.  He was looking like George on the cover of the "All Things Must Pass" album with long hair and a hat (although it hasn't gotten quite that long yet)...plus all of his songs are about love and peace and everybody getting along.  I think I liked it more than Melissa, but sometimes I need to be chill like he was as he performed.  Sure there were a bunch of other songs I'd have liked him to sing as well, but I get it that there are time limits and you can only do so much and you want to promote your new stuff.

Jason wrote this song: You did it (warning: there is a "bad" word in this song; so if you have kids around, probably not a good choice to play).  It is A-W-E-S-O-M-E, like me of course!

Here is the setup of things (not a bad pic considering we were in the very last row):

You can "love" being spelled out:

Again, since it's all about "love":

And the back:

The yesterday we went out to the Arts, Beats, and Eats fest.  It's out in Royal Oak now, so it has a bit of a different feel.  Melissa really wanted to see Mayer Hawthorne perform for our "beats".  We also ended up seeing Sean Forbes, who is a deaf rapper.  He performed before Mayer and he was awesome!  So much energy!!!  You can see one of his videos here: "Hammer".

Sean Forbes doing his thing:

The blue moon from our concert viewing area:

The "arts" I picked up:

Then we had ice cream and beverages for our "eats".  You can say it was a successful night!
