So, this week is the pink candle week! I don't know why, but I always find the rose colored garments to be some of the prettiest that the priest gets to wear! They're always very fancy!
This week's assignment:
"In the psalms we sing words which must have been very familiar to Mary, good Jewish woman that she was. 'Cry out with joy and gladness.' Joy or gladness is a condition of the soul. It is a fruit of the Holy Spirit as we receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit. It reaches beyond the present moment to remind us that no matter what happens God is still with us. What is the source of your own deep gladness? Take an action today to make someone else glad."
Since this is the season of giving and all, I think it is great to be able to make others glad when you can! However I think it should extend out throughout the entire year. If you have the ability to make others happy, then you should do it! It doesn't have to be extravagant. Sometimes an action as simple as holding the door open for someone, can make that person feel a bit of happiness!
The world isn't always bunnies and rainbows, but why not try to leave a positive vibe all around you?
I'm getting excited for Christmas! I've always loved the holiday, and although it makes me miss my Grammy like crazy, it's still a happy time of year! I hope that everyone will get along in my family and that everyone will like what I got them for Christmas! Time will tell...
Only 14 days to go!
What did I get?
