Since I was off of work on Friday, Melissa and I went over to Mrs. A's house. We went out to lunch and then helped her prepare bags for Christmas presents for the poor children in Detroit. It took us a couple of hours to decorate all of the bags, but it was fun. Plus hanging out with Mrs. A always leads to some really enjoyable conversations!
Then Friday night I went to work for our holiday party. I was happy that they had some Sam's for me and a yummy catered meal. Our gift this year was a stemless wine glass and a bookmark. It was fun talking with some co-workers and learning more about their stories.
Then on Saturday I had to work, but it was all good. I had a "geeky gifts" program and here's some of what they made:
Keychains...
Hair clips, pins, rings...
Hair clips and earrings...
While the kids were busy making their crafty items, I played with the iPad. This is what happens when you let me mess with the camera on an iPad:
Then after work, we celebrated Kev's birthday with dinner and cake at their house. It was fun and I hope he had a great birthday overall :)
When I got home, I finished Jack's Christmas present while watching the new Tinker Bell movie: "Secret of the Wings." It was awesome :)
Then today, Melissa and I went to church. Jack, Jules, and Nick came over for a few hours as well...so we played together for a good bit. Jack is a cutie. Then I babysat Mik and Owen while Ang and Kev went to hockey. Those two crack me up for sure.
When I got home after babysitting, I worked on Owen's Christmas present while Melissa and I watched "The Odd Life of Timothy Green". Sadly the entire story fell flat. It was okay but nothing great.
Now I'm exhausted and off to bed.
