So last Friday I went and saw the Goo Goo Dolls with William at Jones Beach. It was the perfect weather for an outside concert. Switchfoot opened! Good stuff! Then the Goo came out and played to perfection! It was super nice because they played a lot of their old stuff (like almost every song from Dizzy Up the Girl) in addition to a handful of new songs. From the sounds of it, it's going to be a great new album...I just wish that it came out before I got to see them! Then I could have sang along to all those songs too :)
The Goo have always written some amazing songs and their lyrics have always spoken to me... Their music makes me feel better whenever I listen to it and I truly believe this concert was just what I needed! It was super uplifting for my spirits! I also got an awesome T-shirt...so the concert was a success in my book :)
Then my parents and Melissa came out for a visit. We did some touristy stuff and also some local stuff too. For as bratty as I sometimes get, I really do enjoy having them around...it just gets hard to stay 100% cool with everyone when you're living in one room for a few days...I only have a studio!
Now it's back to work and daily life...which in many ways is good for me! I like routine!
